The song I want to share with you today I learned when I was in children's choir, but it has been sung by many singers. It is called "In the Bleak Midwinter". The words are a poem by Christina Rosetti. The last verse is my favorite. It says:
Isn't that what this Christmas season is all about? Our Savior gave us the greatest gift imaginable. The best thing we can give Him is our heart. We need to follow His example and do those things for our fellow men that He would have us do.What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb.If I were a wise man, I would do my part.Yet, what I can I give Him, give my heart.
