31 Days of Christmas Music: Day 15

*I have a lump in my throat and a prayer in my heart for those affected by the tragedies around the world this week. Praying everyone can be comforted and feel peace during this holiday season.*

Hi! It's Jilly. Day 15 already?! Christmas is only 10 days away! That is just crazy...

Today's song is another one I learned in children's choir. It is a gorgeous song called "Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming". It was originally a German Christmas carol, and was translated into English in  1894.
Lo, how a rose e'er blooming
From tender stem hath sprung!
Of Jesse's lineage coming,
As men of old have sung.
It came, a flow'ret bright,
Amid the cold of winter,
When half-spent was the night.

Isaiah 'twas foretold it,
The rose I have in mind,
With Mary we behold it.
The Virgin mother kind.
To show God's love aright
She bore to them a Savior,
When half-spent was the night.

Beautiful!
Check back tomorrow for the next song in our series!
