I love hot chocolate. Seriously. I would marry it. No, I wouldn't. That would be just weird. But, I do love it a lot. It's super tasty, and it also reminds me of some of my awesome friends from Arizona, so that makes it even better.
A while back I had my first Starbucks hot chocolate EVER. Yes, shocking I know.
It was delicious, but I thought to myself, "I could make this better and cheaper at home." So, I did. And now you can, too.
Ingredients:
A packet of hot chocolate mix
Water or Milk
Salt
Torani Caramel syrup
Vanilla Caramel coffee creamer
Vanilla Extract (optional)
French Vanilla marshmallows (optional)
Let's do this thing!
1. Measure out a little salt in your hand
2. Add it to a packet of hot chocolate mix in a mug. Stir.
3. Add 6-8 oz hot water or milk. Then pour in 1-2 tsp of Torani syrup.
4. Pour in some vanilla caramel coffee creamer. You can also add a splash of vanilla extract if you like.
5. Top with marshmallows and you're all set! (I love the French vanilla snowman ones.)

Nice! Starbucks is seriously so expensive. When I was in (med) school, it was the only coffee option, so I had to pony up. Now? Sooo much cheaper to make coffee at home!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this recipe...looks good!
Stopping by from WW blog hop. Thanks for this recipe!! I LOVE salted caramel anything. It's my latest addiction. Have a great day! Stacie xo
ReplyDeleteI need to try this. I am a Starbucks snob, but this might actually be yummy! I love their salted caramel hot chocolate. You should come and link up to Must Try Monday.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this because their salted caramel mocha is my favorite drink ever! I think I actually have all these ingredients in my house right now. I do think the salt and caramel topping is important, but I could figure out how to replicate that part with a little caramel syrup and fancy salt. Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteYes, you will definitely have to experiment! I put all kinds of things in my hot chocolate. I love it! Let me know what you come up with for the topping!
