Hi! It's Jilly. I wanted to put together a little gift for the ladies I visit teach for Easter. I knew chocolate had to be involved somehow!
I thought these Milky Way Simply Caramel and Three Musketeer BITES at Wal-mart looked yummy, so I grabbed a couple bags of them. There was a big 'ole endcap full of 'em.
I always save random glass jars from jelly, salsa, etc. The jar I chose to use for this project is from spaghetti sauce. Following Mom on Timeout's tutorial, I removed the extra glue goo from the label with a little nail polish remover and olive oil. (Not mixed together!)
After I removed the goo I covered the jar lid with some washi tape. I love using washi tape, 'cause if it doesn't look perfect it looks perfect for the project...perfectly imperfect. Ha ha!
Next, I filled the jar with Milky Way Simply Caramel and Three Musketeer BITES. It took about 2 bags of BITES to fill my spaghetti jar, minus a few to test for "quality control". ;) #EatMoreBites
FYI- you can get an awesome coupon to buy your own BITES! You can get $3 off (2) bags 6 oz. or larger, or $0.75 off (2) 2.83 oz packages.
I designed these little "hoppy" Easter gift tags, printed them out on light pink cardstock, cut them out, and glued them to a piece of burlap a little bit bigger than the tags. I cut the bottom of the burlap in a "v" to make it a little cuter. After adding some washi tape to the tags, I punched a hole in the top to thread some jute through. I tied some ribbon around the top of the jar, and tied the gift tag onto the jar with jute.
I love how these turned out! SO springy and sweet! I know my friends will love them. Want to make one for your friends? Here's a FREE printable of my "Hoppy" Easter gift tags! Share them with your friends and family!
