Hi! It's Jilly. I have a couple of recipes to share with you today. After my run this morning I stopped by Price Chopper Supermarket and picked up a few things. With the kids home all day I've resorted to a lot of mac & cheese and chicken nuggets. I knew it was time to change things up a little!

S'more Chocolate Pudding- A Simple Pudding Snack {Plus Giveaway!}
Thanks to Kozy Shack for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own. For more info, see my disclosure policy.
Hi! It's Jilly. Sometimes things are crazy and you just need a little treat. Some people are all about the salty stuff. But me? It's all about the chocolate. I might have a problem. I'm just sayin'.
Luckily, Kozy Shack's chocolate pudding is made with simple, wholesome ingredients, like real milk and no artificial preservatives or hydrogenated oils. It's a good source of calcium and gluten-free, too! Niiice.
Now, usually this is my motto when it comes to pudding-eating.

Hi! It's Jilly. Summer is upon us, so that means it's...grilling time! I've always loved Mexican food, and that love increased when we lived in Arizona, where avocados, cilantro, and bell peppers are cheap! Now that we're out in New York I have to get my Mexican fix in other ways.

Hi! It's Jilly. Have you ever had to get three nine year-olds ready for school in the morning?! Well, it's crazy. We're always running out the door to (hopefully) catch the bus. So, we need some easy, healthy and quick breakfast ideas!
Since we got home late last night from the lake I knew the kids would be hard to get up for school this morning. So, I ran to Walmart and picked up some Tyson Day Starts. #StartWithTyson

Hi! It's Jilly. Prepare to gasp. We have NOT seen FROZEN yet! See, I knew you would gasp! We never made it to the theater when it was there, and now the DVD comes out March 18th, so I figure we'll just buy it when it comes out.
Even though they haven't seen the movie yet, my kids love Frozen. They hear all about it from their friends, watch video clips on YouTube, and get excited whenever the songs pop up on my Pandora stations. So, when I was at Wal-Mart the other day I thought I'd check out the "Frozen" toy section and see what they had.
I found these darling dolls, and these cute little figures that will be perfect for tossing in the girls' Easter baskets.

Honey Spice Bread {Recipe Contributor}
Hi, it's Jen! I'm a Seattleite turned Southerner who now dwells in the desert. I am a wife, new mama, and grad student. You can find me blogging about faith, grace, and adventure over at The Arizona Russums.
Considering I just pulled this honey spice bread out of the oven about an hour ago and half of it is already gone, I'd say this is a recipe worth sharing. It's perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a midday snack. Although we love banana bread around here, the flavors in this bread were a nice change of pace!

Hi, it's Jen! I'm going to be contributing recipes on Jilly's blog once a month, and I'm so excited to get to know y'all! You can get a peak into my life over at The Arizona Russums. Please stop by... I'd love to meet you!
I've made this recipe twice in the past two weeks. It's that good. One time I made it as a main dish, because I try to do meat-free meals every now and then. About a week later I made it as a side with pork chops. This is great way to sneak some veggies into a delicious dish. My sister-in-law doesn't even like broccoli at all and she loved it!

Delicious Crockpot Hot Chocolate
Hi! It's Jilly. Last year I started a new tradition for our family. It's called "Carols and Cocoa". On the Monday right after Thanksgiving we invite friends over to sing Christmas carols around the piano and drink hot chocolate! I feel like it is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season. I love it! Yes, it can get pretty crazy with kids running around and hot chocolate getting spilled, but it's worth it to me.
Last year I had a crockpot full of hot water and cocoa packets out on the table, but that was such a mess! So, I decided to make hot chocolate in the crockpot this time. I made this one from Mrs. Happy Homemaker a few years ago, and it's really good. But, it is super sweet and I wanted to be able to add "mix-ins", so I decided to tweak the recipe. I also got inspiration from Heidi's Recipes. I ended up changing so many things that I figured it warranted posting the 'new' recipe!

Pumpkin Spice Latte from Kelsey at Poofy Cheeks.
Hi! It's Jilly. Today we have the sweet Kelsey from Poofy Cheeks visiting us and sharing a yummy, Fall-licious recipe! Let's dig in, shall we?
Hey! I’m Kelsey and I am visiting from Poofy Cheeks. I am so excited to be guest posting here on Hi! It’s Jilly with a Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe! A few weeks ago I had my first latte and I have been hooked ever since! As I watch everyone delighting in the fall weather I admit I am a little jealous. I live in Florida and it is still pretty hot here! I decided to take the lattes I have been enjoying the past few weeks and put a fall twist on it by creating a rich and buttery pumpkin spice latte. The smell, the taste and even the color are enough to make me think it is fall outdoors too!
For this recipe you will need:
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee
- 1 cup of whole or 2% milk
- dash of pumpkin spice
- 1 teaspoon of imitation butter extract (vanilla will work too)
In a saucepan stir the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until it starts to bubble. Add in the remaining ingredients and stir until heated through. Top with another dash of pumpkin spice.
That sounds great! I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but I bet that combo would be great added to some hot chocolate! Mmmmm... Gotta try it now!
I've really been enjoying our Fall In Love With Fall Series, and I hope you have been, too! Check out the rest of the series by clicking on the button!
OH!! I almost forgot to tell you! On October 1st (next Tuesday!! Eek!) I will be hosting a linky party to celebrate the end of our series! You can share all your fabulous Fall-inspired projects, recipes, fashion...anything Fall-ish you want! So, you'll definitely want to check that out!

5 Fabulous Fall Soups
Hi! It's Jilly. The cooler weather that accompanies Fall makes me want to curl up with some hot chocolate, a bowl of soup, and a good movie.
I'm totally a dork...I love Harry Potter! I always have to watch several of the movies when the weather cools off. I think it's because each movie starts in September.
ANYway, back to business...SOUP! I love making soup in the Fall. Here I've rounded up 5 Fabulous Fall Soup recipes. I hope you enjoy them!

Pumpkin Spice Bars from Alyssa at Kadydid Designs
Hi! It's Jilly. I'm super pumped to have my friend IN REAL LIFE Alyssa guest posting today. Everything in her Etsy shop is darling, and everything she makes is yummy! Happy to have this recipe of hers for my own personal use now. Mwahahahaha! Enjoy!
Hi! My name is Alyssa, and I blog over at Kadydid Designs. I blog about just about everything; recipes, DIY projects, regular mommy-hood and a bit about my Etsy shop. I've known Jillian for quite awhile (we became friends while her sweet family was living in Phoenix) and I am so excited to be sharing one of my favorite things about fall on her blog today.
One of my all time favorite treats to make in the fall is Pumpkin Spice Bars. I love using fresh pumpkin in them, and I end up making them way more than I should. But - it's fall, right? You've got to soak up all the pumpkin deliciousness while you can! (If you've never tried roasting your own pumpkins before, here's a quick "tutorial")
Preheat oven to 350. Line a 11x15" pan with foil.
Mix together:
2 c. crushed graham crackers or gingersnap crumbs
7 T. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
Spread mixture into baking pan and flatten/smooth out to make an even crust.
(**Side note: I have used 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs, and it still works. So if you have little hands at your house that steal graham crackers like I have at mine, you'll be fine. Also. 7 tablespoons of butter is 1 tablespoon short of one stick, so I generally just use an entire stick of butter)
Bake for approximately 6 minutes; or until fragrant. Cool completely.
Then, mix together:
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Add:
4 eggs
1 can (15oz) pumpkin puree
1 c. vegetable oil
Pour on top of graham cracker crust and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely and frost with your favorite homemade OR store bought cream cheese frosting. Feel free to sprinkle with any fall/Halloween sprinkles, or just leave plain.
These are delicious and perfect to take to any gathering this fall!!
Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe, Alyssa! It looks so easy to throw together, and I bet it makes your house smell amazing!

Hearty Pumpkin Pancakes from All She Cooks
Hi! It's Jilly. I'm happy to have Jessica from All She Cooks with us today! She is sharing a fantastic Pumpkin Pancake recipe that I can't *wait* to try out! And, while you're here, be sure to enter to win a copy of Jessica's eBook, "Serious Blogging: Tips and Tricks to Put YOUR Blog On The Map". It will blow your mind! Now, let's see that beautiful pumpkin recipe!
Hello, Hi! It's Jilly readers! I'm Jessica from All She Cooks, and I'm so excited to be here with you today sharing one of my fall-flavored breakfasts (I almost said desserts!) for you today.
Nothing says the start of fall like pumpkin. Okay... maybe the crisp cool air, or colorful leaves falling on the lawn and blowing in the wind. But, when it comes to cooking, it's all about pumpkin. These Hearty Pumpkin Pancakes will surely start your fall morning off the right way, and don't be surprised if you bite into them and feel like you're taking a bite of delicious cake instead. Or maybe that was just because I happened to add a dollop of whipped cream to mine.
Our Hearty Pumpkin Pancakes are easy to throw together in the morning, and are perfect for a school morning breakfast. And they are KID-APPROVED! You can't beat that. My own (sometimes picky eater) 10-year old daughter gave these Pumpkin Pancakes two thumbs up. And then I brought her to school to get on with her day. What a great start to her first full day of middle-school, if I do say so myself.
Then, being the crazy food blogger that I am, I came home and had a little photo session with these Pumpkin Pancakes. They cooperated rather nicely. By that point, I was starving!! I heated up the great big stack of pancakes pictured in these photos and put some whipped cream on top... because for some reason I can't get pumpkin pie out of my head, and I always have whipped cream on pumpkin pie.
Breakfast with whipped cream... to me it was like eating pumpkin cake. Which I haven't made yet, but am all over creating! Be on the lookout for more of my fall-inspired pumpkin creations, because I can tell you right now, I'm not finished working with pumpkin.
Pumpkin fan? Follow me on Pinterest and check out my PUMPKIN! board. I'll be pinning my own and other fun and fabulous pumpkin recipes that I see over the next several weeks.
These Pumpkin Pancakes have just a couple tablespoons of brown sugar to sweeten them up, but we all know you're likely going to drench them in maple syrup or honey anyway. Or whipped cream like I do.
You can mix together the dry ingredients of our Hearty Pumpkin Pancake's batter the night before, or if you're looking for an ultimate time-saver, make up several batches of the dry ingredients and then just add your wet ingredients when you are ready to make breakfast. I'm planning to do that myself and will most likely use some of my Mason jars to store the dry ingredients because I have a TON of jars around my house and my garden was an epic fail this year, so no canning tomatoes. Unless I happen to find some canning tomatoes at the farmers market this late in the season. Fingers crossed, because I don't know what I'll do this winter without my jars of whole tomatoes... and homemade salsa. I had such big plans!
Super simple ingredients for these pancakes, and like I said, you can mix up the dry ingredients ahead of time and add the wet ingredients when you're ready to make your sensational Pumpkin Pancake breakfast. Your dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Wet ingredients: egg, milk, vegetable oil, and pumpkin.
Did you notice... no pumpkin pie spices. You can add some if you choose, but in all honestly, these pumpkin pancakes really didn't need it. They don't taste like pumpkin pie, but the do taste glorious. What's more, they are moist and just plain good. Remember I said they reminded me of cake? I'm thinking I might make a Carrot Pancake variation and swap out the pumpkin for carrots. Maybe add some raisins. What a way to get some veggies in first thing in the morning!
This breakfast would go really good with a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Low-Fat Latte or hot cocoa with a cinnamon stick, maybe some apple cider. I know... it's only the first week of September and all I can think about is fall! Blame it on all the stores putting the Mums out right where I can see them when I drive by, or Hobby Lobby (oh how I love you!) that had fall decor out in early summer, and Christmas decor out shortly afterward. It's hard NOT to get a jump start on fall when everyone else is. And hey- I live in the Midwest, so we'll probably end up with very fall like weather within another week or two.
I SO hope you enjoy my Hearty Pumpkin Pancake recipe, and thanks so much to Jillian for having me as part of her Fall in Love with Fall series.
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup canned pumpkin (I used Libby's- if you want to use pumpkin you've frozen, you might need to adjust the amount of milk to 1/2 cup)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Heat pan on medium-low and spray lightly with cooking spray. Cook on each side for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with chopped nuts (optional- we used walnuts), syrup, and/or honey.
Thanks so much, Jessica! Maybe my picky daughter will like them, too. She says she doesn't like pancakes. Who does that?!

Brown Sugar Cinnamon Low Fat Latte Recipe & Coffee Station from Tammy at One More Time Events
Hi! It's Jilly! What's better on a cool, Fall day than a nice, hot drink?! I'm happy to have Tammy from One More Time Events here to share a Low Fat Latte recipe and her custom coffee station with you!
Hi, I am Tammy and I blog over at One More Time Events. I am very excited now that fall is on it's way! I want to thank Hi It's Jilly for letting me come and share one of my favorite fall Lattes and some little tips on how I painted my signage with metallic paints for my Coffee Station
Cafe is officially "Open" and the signage is up!
Today I want to share how I changed this sign from black and give it a more Faux Metal finish and share delicious Low Fat Latte perfect drink for the Fall season!
By now you all know how much I love coffee and a coffee bar is a necessity in our home.
The other day when I was out with my daughter we stopped at a local thrift shop and I couldn't resist this sign "Cafe Latte" It was only five bucks, but heck it was perfect for the the Coffee bar... all but one thing... it was black. So the other thing you probably know about me is if it doesn't match "paint it!"
Which is exactly what I did. I have been in a 'little bit' obsessed mode with Martha Stewart's Metallic paint lately and since I really wanted more of a metal look I chose to use it again.
I wanted the sign to have the look of a faux metal and by using the metallic specialty finishes it would give me the look I was going for.
Because I wanted more of a coffee color I mixed the two speciality paint finishes Cast Bronze and Golden Pearl together.
Using a sponge brush I applied paint across the letters of the sign and then went back and used the cast bronze by working it in just enough to highlight it.
A little bit about the pieces on the coffee station: The Two Tiered Basket holds a variety of coffees which use to be used as a centerpiece on the table, the wooden Chalk board tray was found at Target on clearance, the syrups and pumps come from World Market, the wire baskets come from Walmart and the chalk board plant stakes were made from stickers found at World Market. The Tea infusers I already had.
Of course you can't have a coffee station without a Latte!
Here is one of my favorite latte recipes... of course they all are my favorites.
Brown Sugar Cinnamon Coffee Latte recipe
Ingredients:
2 TBSP (1oz) Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup (Sugar Free)
1 cup (8oz) Milk (I used 2% milk)
2 shots Strong Coffee (I used Starbucks coffee K cups)
Did I mention I love this single cup coffee maker?
Instructions:
Steam milk and the Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup together, Pour into your mug and add 1/2 a cup of strong coffee, top with whip topping
Serve and Enjoy!
By making this with 2% milk and Torani's Sugar Free Syrup and serving it in this mug I was able to enjoy 2 cups of this delicious drink...without all the calories! :)
Thank you so much Jilly for having me!
Thank you for being here, Tammy! I don't drink coffee myself, but I love hot chocolate, so I can appreciate your awesome coffee station. And, the sign turned out so cute!
You guys will have to try her recipe and let me know how delicious it is!
